
About Father Bouchard: New Bedford born and raised, Father Bouchard graduated from Bishop Stang High School in North Dartmouth. He prepared for the priesthood at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, Conn., and St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, Mass. After ordination, he studied at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., earning a licentiate degree in Systematic Theology. He served as a parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish, Taunton; Notre Dame de Lourdes, Fall River; Holy Family, East Taunton; and St. Julie Billiart, North Dartmouth. He became pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in North Attleboro in 1988 and was assigned to his present pastorate at Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich in 1994. Other diocesan assignments through the years have included assistant director of Religious Education, director of Continuing Education of Clergy, chaplain at Bishop Stang High School, and chaplain to the Attleboro and later Cape Cod districts of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Along with his pastorate, he is also currently the director of Stewardship for the Fall River Diocese.
