Founded in 1925, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish is located in South Attleboro, MA. We are a Catholic community of approximately 800 families blessed with parishioners of all ages.

Summary

Provides administrative and organizational support for the parish and facilitates in the daily operation of the parish office. This position is a part-time role of approximately 18 hours/week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Oversees the administrative functions needed to support the office, including, but not limited to the following:

o Anticipates office needs in all administrative areas and follows through on

initiatives.

o Interacts in a positive and professional manner with staff and visitors.

o Professionally and discreetly handles calls, parish emails, and web inquiries.

o Proficiency in composing and managing parish communications via mail, email

and social media.

o Manages daily mail delivery, outgoing mail, and special mailings.

o Oversees Outlook parish calendar.

o Manages scheduling of Masses, sacramental records, and certificates.

o Handles parish technologies: database and emailing system, envelope census,

registrations, online giving trouble shooting.

o Manages parish phone system, copy machine contract, website and social media

platforms (Facebook, etc.).

o Assists business manager with managing offertory, physical envelopes and online giving.

o Orders and stocks office supplies and liturgical supplies.

o Responsible for tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, word processing, etc.

o Compiles data for various reports.

o Prepares the parish bulletin each week.

o Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Strong desire to support the mission of the Catholic Church.

 Strong organizational and time management skills.

 High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 Ability to manage online giving platform.

 Experience working with the public and handling issues/complaints in a diplomatic manner.

 Demonstrated ability to handle confidential, time-sensitive and critical matters using good judgment, tact, respect and discretion.

 Ability to anticipate needs, establish priorities, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate discretion, project a positive attitude and exercise a high level of professionalism.

 Excellent relationship-building skills with a focus on service to others.

 Ability to communicate effectively through e-mail and/or telephone.
