Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) Home / Employment Opportunities / Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) Position Summary The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in affordable housing communities. The RSC connects residents to local services and resources, supports their social, educational, and economic participation, and contributes to the overall positive maintenance of the property. This position is integral to the housing and property team and promotes a respectful, inclusive, and thriving resident community. Community Action for Better Housing empowers individuals and families to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness by providing safe, comfortable, and affordable housing, along with essential resources for personal advancement. We serve low-income families and individuals in the New Bedford and Fall River, MA area, including those who are homeless, disabled, or elderly. Key Responsibilities Welcome new and existing residents; explain the resident services program and available resources. Promote a culture of inclusion and non-discrimination. Develop and maintain partnerships with local service agencies to support resident goals. Provide referrals and supportive linkages between residents and service providers; document all efforts. Collaborate with property management to address lease violations and support residents at risk of eviction. Establish and track program targets; report outcomes to stakeholders and use data for continuous improvement – including HMIS entry, recertification, and other reporting mechanisms as directed. Assess individual and family needs; support residents in accessing services. Facilitate resident meetings, social activities, and community engagement. Build professional relationships with residents to support self-sufficiency and life goals. Assist in conflict mediation between residents when requested. Ensure inclusive communication through newsletters, flyers, and other media. Complete additional housing and resident-related tasks as assigned.
