October 10th is World Mental Health Day and October 5-11, the first week of October, is Mental Health Awareness Week.
In recognition of the impact that mental health challenges can have on individuals, their families and caregivers, Bishop Edgar da Cunha will offer this special Mass for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, drug and/or alcohol use, or mental illness. The Masses will also be offered for those who are currently experiencing mental health challenges. (A Mass was celebrated for this intention earlier in the month by the Bishop at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fall River.)
All are welcome to this Mass! A Book of Remembrance will be offered during the Mass for those who have died by suicide or from Mental Health- or Substance Use-related causes.
