SUMMARY:World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life
DESCRIPTION:In 1997\, Pope Saint John Paul II instituted a day of prayer for women and men in consecrated life. This celebration is attached to the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord on February 2nd. This Feast is also known as Candlemas Day; the day on which candles are blessed symbolizing Christ who is the light of the world. So too\, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples. \nIn many parishes\, the celebration will be observed over the weekend of February 1\, 2026\, to honor the vocations of women and men in consecrated life.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life\, and be sure to thank them on their special day. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God’s gift of their vocation.

SUMMARY:Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion
DESCRIPTION:  \nBishop Edgar M. da Cunha\, S.D.V.\, will celebrate the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion for men and women from throughout the Fall River Diocese who are preparing to become members of the Roman Catholic Church or who are preparing for full communion in the Church. The Rite of Election takes place in diocesan cathedrals annually throughout the world on the First Sunday of Lent. \nThe Rite of Election includes the official enrollment of names of all those seeking Baptism at the Easter Vigil.
