He was ordained to the sacred priesthood on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary\, October 7\, 2017\, centenary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. As a friar\, he currently serves as the Novice Master at the Marian Friary of Our Lady of Guadalupe\, Griswold\, CT. Fr. Josemaria has appeared on Pints of Aquinas with Matt Fradd and has numerous YouTube videos in which he speaks on various topics from Mariology\, the spiritual life\, and mental prayer. He has given numerous retreats to Catholic laity and student groups. DESCRIPTION:Presentation of the Pope St. Pius X Youth Awards to young persons from parishes throughout the Diocese in recognition of their service to their parish. Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha\, S.D.V.\, will confer the awards in the context of a prayer service. Named for the pontiff who created the Fall River Diocese in 1904\, the Pope St. Pius X Youth Awards were  presented for the first time in 2001. The award honors the commitment and selflessness of teens towards Christ\, His Church\, and local parish communities in the Church. DESCRIPTION:The Fall River Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) will gather for their Annual Meeting and Breakfast on Saturday\, May 30\, at St. John Neumann Church. \nAll women of the Diocese of Fall River are cordially invited to join them for a 9 a.m. Mass at St. John Neumann Church\, 157 Middleboro Road\, East Freetown\, MA 02717. Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha\, S.D.V.\, will be main celebrant and homilist along with concelebrants Father Tom Washburn\, V.F.\, National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) Spiritual Advisor\, and Father Mike Racine\, DCCW Spiritual Advisor. \nA program will follow the Mass\, beginning with the installation of new officers and a catered breakfast.  It will continue with a presentation on  “Mary” by guest presenter Beth Mahoney\, who is NCCW Immediate National Past\, and then a short meeting. \nThe DCCW endeavors to offer programs and projects that respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society. Its membership consists of women from various parishes within the Fall River Diocese. The DCCW is a member of the National Council of Catholic Women. \nCost is $28.00 per person.
