Hymn Sing for the Year of Mercy Set for Sept. 25 at Cathedral Author: Diocese of Fall River In the News 12 Ago 2016 Share FALL RIVER — Hymn Sing for the Year of Mercy is a music event to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy as proclaimed for the Church throughout the world by the Holy Father, Pope Francis. It will take place at 3 p.m , Sunday, September 25, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fall River. There will be familiar hymns for all to sing with the hope of filling St. Mary’s with the sound of voices uplifted in sung prayer. Several choirs from the Fall River Diocese will present selections to help those present reflect on the mercy of the Father and on ways to better practice the works of mercy in their own lives. All are welcome to enter through the designated Holy Door of Mercy at the Cathedral to join in the song and celebration of this Hymn Sing for the Year of Mercy. St. Mary’s Cathedral is located at the corner of Spring and Second Streets.
