DARTMOUTH — Interested in learning more about ministry as a Permanent Deacon?

Over the coming months, general information nights will be held to delve into the process of formation of a deacon for the Diocese of Fall River. These information nights will be held at an in-person session and also via Zoom.

The Information Nights schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 7 p.m., via Zoom
  • Friday, February 13, 2026 at 7 p.m., St. Ann Parish Hall, 675 North Main St., Raynham
  • Monday, April 27, 2026 at 7 p.m., via Zoom

Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., has authorized the formation of a new class for Permanent Deacons for the Diocese of Fall River for the fall of 2027. Those interested in pursuing the vocation of the diaconate beginning with the Aspirancy phase in the fall 2027 are invited to submit a preliminary application. Additional details including the Zoom link and the preliminary application are available on the Fall River Diocesan Permanent Diaconate website at fallriverdeacons.com
