FALL RIVER \u2014 The Faith Formation Office will offer Essential Catholicism: A Preparation Course for Adult Confirmation<\/em> in two separate locations this fall, beginning in October. Essential Catholicism<\/em> is a six-session course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Easton, the course will be offered on consecutive Wednesday evenings, from October 5 through November 9, at the Holy Cross Parish Center, 225 Purchase Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In North Dartmouth, it will be held on consecutive Thursday evenings, from October 6 through November 10, at Bishop Stang High School, 500 Slocum Road. (Use the Chapel Entrance.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classes in both locations will be from 7 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both sessions will conclude with a mandatory retreat for adult confirmation candidates on Saturday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fees are as follows: $25 for class registration, which includes materials for participants; and $20 for the retreat day, which includes lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adults interested in taking the course in either location must see his or her pastor for a registration form that must be completed, signed by the pastor, and submitted to the Faith Formation Office prior to the first class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., will celebrate Adult Confirmation at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, at St. Mary\u2019s Cathedral, Fall River, for any adult candidate who is at least 18 years of age and has received instruction for Confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
