Consecrated Religious Women and Men from the Fall River Diocese will gather on this World Day for for Consecrated Life. The celebration will include prayer, a presentation by Jesuit Father Michael Simone from the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College, Mass, and a luncheon. Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., will be principal celebrant of the Mass.

First observed by now St. Pope John Paul II in 1997, World Day for Consecrated Life is an opportunity to highlight the extraordinary contributions of men and women religious in this country as well as a time to pray for vocations to the consecrated life. For the February 2-3 weekend, parishes in the Fall River Diocese have been invited to pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life and to thank them on their special day for their generous response to God’s gift of their vocation.
