United Interfaith Action Meeting

United Interfaith Action (UIA) has been bringing faith communities together since 1997 to work on issues of social justice in the cities of Fall River and New Bedford. At this May 22nd Local Action Meeting, UIA will welcome leadership from Fall River including state representatives and  the city’s superintendent of schools, mayor and police chief. UIA will be offering to them specific proposals with regard to the group’s areas of focus: education and youth; addiction; and immigration. These are the issues identified last year by the UIA as its priorities. All are welcome to attend the meeting. UIA reminds all that “Your Actions Matter!” Translations will be available in Portuguese and Spanish.

This meeting will take place in the Santo Christo Parish Hall. The entrance to its parking lot is from Columbia Street.
