Visit of the Relics of St. Jude Thaddeus

Corpus Christi Parish will welcome the relics of the Apostle, St. Jude Thaddeus with a special Mass at 1 p.m. Veneration of the relic will follow the Mass and continue until 10 p.m. One of Jesus’ original twelve apostles, St. Jude is revered for his unwavering dedication and steadfast faith. St. Jude is the Patron Saint of Hope and impossible causes. An immensely popular saint, his intercession is frequently sought in times of adversity and need.

About the Relics:
Saint Jude’s body was buried in the place of his martyrdom but was transferred but was transferred to Rome during the time of Emperor Constantine. His tomb rests directly below the main altar of the left transept of St. Peter’s Basilica. Several centuries ago, his arm was removed and placed in a simple wooden reliquary carved in the shape of a priestly arm, imparting a blessing. They reside within the same today.

This visit is part of a nationwide Apostle of the Impossible: the Tour of the Relics of St. Jude the Apostle and marks the first time the relics have left Italy.
