An accomplished guitarist with a smooth voice often compared to John Denver\, Chris is best known for his YouTube channel featuring music published by Oregon Catholic Press; he has more than 36\,000 subscribers and nearly a half-million video views each month. \nChris’s church music career spans four decades. He joined the music ministry of his childhood church in 4th grade and was leading a parish choir by the time he turned 16. He is currently the music director at Holy Family Catholic Church in Portland\, Oregon\, a role he has held for 27 years\, and he has helped lead music at many other Portland-area churches including St. Mary’s Cathedral\, the seat of the Archdiocese of Portland. \nWeaving together personal storytelling\, ministry\, and music\, Chris creates an inspirational and uplifting evening for Catholic faith communities. Recent concert stops have taken Chris to Florida\, Kentucky\, Missouri\, Arizona\, Idaho\, Washington\, and\, of course\, his home state of Oregon. \nThis concert is free and open to the public. Free will offerings are welcome.

SUMMARY:Procession & Mass for Peace
DESCRIPTION:Members of the Fall River Diocese are invited to join Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha\, S.D.V.\, in the annual Procession and Mass for Peace on the Columbus Day holiday. Participants in the procession should meet by 5:30 p.m. in the area of St. Anne’s Shrine\, across from Kennedy Park on South Main Street in Fall River\, to march approximately one-half mile to St. Mary’s Cathedral. The procession will begin at 6 p.m. Marchers will carry candles\, recite the rosary\, and sing Marian hymns. \nUpon arrival of the procession at St. Mary’s Cathedral\, located at the corner of Second and Spring Streets\, Bishop da Cunha will celebrate the Mass for Peace. The bishop will be homilist at the liturgy as well. \nThose who are handicapped or disabled should proceed directly to the Cathedral\, where a special area will be designated for them. \nThe Mass for Peace will be live streamed on the diocesan Facebook page at www.facebook/fallriverdiocese.
