With Ash Wednesday on February 17th, we begin the Lenten season. My hope and prayer for each of you, and your families, is that you will experience this Lent as a genuinely holy time, despite all that we continue to face in this pandemic. I know we anxiously await the day when we can return to celebrate our faith together, our beloved Sacraments, our spirit of community, and our loving God. As we wait, let us make Lent a time of sanctification, of conversion, of molding us into better people, so in turn, we can effect change in our world, making it a better place.
During this Lent, as a way to stay more closely connected with you, I invite you to submit any special prayer intention you may have. I will personally read each special intention and bring it before the Lord each and every day as I celebrate Mass.
May God bless all of you with a very blessed Lenten season.
