Moments to Remember Author: O Reverendíssimo Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., D.D. Blogue do Bispo 22 Mai 2024 Share Memorial Day Mass In honor of Memorial Day, I will celebrate a special Memorial Day Mass in the Mausoleum Chapel (Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River) on May 30 at 10:00 a.m. We will pray for all those who have died in service to our country; all are welcome. Prayer for Memorial Day God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears, that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters. Keep in your mercy those men and women who have died in the cause of freedom and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen USCCB Baccalaureate Mass Courtesy: Stonehill College Saturday, May 18, I was honored to preside at Stonehill College’s 2024 Baccalaureate Mass. I want to personally congratulate the Class of 2024, not only those from Stonehill but also every graduating senior. Many of these graduates began their college education and academic careers at a challenging time—in September of 2020 during the pandemic. These graduates did not just survive; they prevailed. These students did not wait for the storm to pass; instead, they learned how to dance in the rain. For that and their many academic accomplishments, I, along with undoubtedly many other people, am so very proud of you. I wish you God’s blessing in all of your future endeavors. It was a joy and honor to celebrate the Baccalaureate Mass at Stonehill on Saturday with all those present. National Eucharistic Procession Fr. Roger Landry leads the Seton Route (East). Keep up to date with Jesus’ Eucharistic journey by following the official blog of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. The blog and interactive route map are a wonderful alternative for those unable to make this historical pilgrimage in person. The blog shares highlights from the sixty-day, 6,500-mile trek, which will boost over 100,000 participants, including Perpetual Pilgrims dedicated to traveling the entire way! The interactive map allows the faithful to follow along and includes a registration for events along the route.
