SUMMARY:Praying of Divine Mercy Chaplet for Bishop Coleman
DESCRIPTION:As we continue to mourn the loss of Bishop Emeritus George W. Coleman\, the Diocesan Office of Clergy Support invites everyone to take part in a diocesan-wide praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet—a 10-minute devotion—for the Bishop’s happy repose and consolation of his family on Thursday\, May 30\, 2024\, at 11:30 a.m. via Zoom Webinar. \nIf you would like to join the Zoom Webinar\, please click here. \nAbout the Divine Mercy Chaplet \nThe Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a prayer of intercession prayed on rosary beads in as little as 10 minutes that extends the Eucharist’s offering. The devotion was given to Saint Faustina in 1935 through a series of private revelations from Jesus Christ. In the Diary of Saint Faustina\, numerous promises are associated with the Divine Mercy Chaplet\, including: “At the hour of their death\, I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this chaplet; or when others say it for a dying person\, the pardon is the same” (#811).
