{"id":10278,"date":"2019-09-19T12:52:49","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T16:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fallriverdiocese.org\/?p=10278"},"modified":"2023-11-06T17:50:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T17:50:08","slug":"planning-commissions-recommendations-presented-to-bishop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fallriverdiocese.org\/pt-pt\/news\/planning-commissions-recommendations-presented-to-bishop\/","title":{"rendered":"Planning Commissions Recommendations Presented to Bishop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fallriverdiocese.org\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Rebuilding-in-Faith-and-Hope-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5661\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FALL RIVER \u2014 The planning process underway in the Fall River Diocese reached a milestone on Saturday, September 14<sup>th<\/sup> as Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., offered a Mass to celebrate the work of nearly 400 volunteers who have been serving on various planning commissions as part of the diocesan <em>Rebuilding in Faith and Hope<\/em> initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning commissions were formed to address three areas: Catholic Social Services, Youth and Young Adult Ministries\/Services, and Diocesan Governance. The latter commission, Diocesan Governance, was then divided into four separate groups to look at communications; finance and administration; human resources; and facilities and real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fallriverdiocese.org\/app\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Reading-of-plan-small-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10306\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These recommendations were formally presented to Bishop da Cunha by representative members of each commission in the context of the September 14<sup>th<\/sup> Mass.&nbsp; Allison Gingras presented for the Diocesan Governance Commission, Deborah Cabral for Youth and Young Adult, and Stacia Plumb for Catholic Social Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fallriverdiocese.org\/app\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Table-with-banners-small-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10304\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving forward, the recommendations are being reviewed by the Bishop who will work with the newly-constituted Diocesan Pastoral Council. It will be their task to prioritize them and map out a strategy for their implementation. Once completed, these next steps will become part of the final version of the strategic plan for the Fall River Diocese to then be presented to Bishop da Cunha for his
