FALL RIVER \u2014 The Fall River Diocese will offer its annual Women and Men\u2019s Conference for Lent on Saturday, March 7, with a program featuring noted speakers, prayer, music, Adoration, Mass, and more. It will take place in the Ames Sports Complex on the grounds of Stonehill College in Easton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers will be Auxiliary Bishop Robert C. Evans of the Diocese of Providence; Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus John W. Flesey, S.T.D., of the Archdiocese of Newark; and Kendra Von Esh, an international speaker, author and retreat leader with a unique story to share of her own journey of faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., will be celebrant and homilist of a Mass at 4 p.m. to conclude the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuring Lent, we are called to look for ways to grow in faith, to reflect on and to deepen our relationship with God, Bishop da Cunha said. \u201cOur Women and Men\u2019s Conference provides an opportunity to do that. It\u2019s a day of renewal, of prayer, of music, and of friendship; it\u2019s a day to enrich ourselves spiritually and prepare ourselves for the celebration of Holy Week and Easter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doors will open at 9 a.m. for the Women and Men\u2019s Conference with the program getting underway at 10 a.m. The schedule includes a midday break with lunch, and time to visit the many vendors that will be on hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for the conference is required. The deadline is March 2. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
