Mr. Manoel Antonio da Cunha, the father of Fall River Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., passed away on Tuesday, June 23, in Brazil after a period of failing health. He was 91 years old and was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. Mr. da Cunha is survived by his wife of 68 years, Josefa, his 13 children (including Bishop da Cunha), 36 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren. His funeral and burial will take place in his hometown of Nova Fatima, Bahia, Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
