In honor of Memorial Day, I will celebrate a special Memorial Day Mass<\/strong> in the Mausoleum Chapel (Notre Dame Cemetery<\/a>, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River) on May 30 at 10:00 a.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will pray for all those who have died in service to our country; all are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep in your mercy those men and women<\/em> who have died in the cause of freedom<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday, May 18, I was honored to preside at Stonehill College\u2019s 2024 Baccalaureate Mass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to personally congratulate the Class of 2024, not only those from Stonehill but also every graduating senior. Many of these graduates began their college education and academic careers at a challenging time\u2014in September of 2020 during the pandemic. These graduates did not just survive; they prevailed. These students did not wait for the storm to pass; instead, they learned how to dance in the rain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For that and their many academic accomplishments, I, along with undoubtedly many other people, am so very proud of you. I wish you God’s blessing in all of your future endeavors. It was a joy and honor to celebrate the Baccalaureate Mass at Stonehill on Saturday with all those present.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I mentioned in last week\u2019s blog, on Friday, May 17, the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage<\/strong> launched from the four corners of the United States, converging after 60 days on the road at the National Eucharistic Congress on July 16, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep up to date with Jesus\u2019 Eucharistic journey by following the official blog of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. The blog and interactive route map are a wonderful alternative for those unable to make this historical pilgrimage in person. The blog shares highlights from the sixty-day, 6,500-mile trek, which will boost over 100,000 participants, including Perpetual Pilgrims dedicated to traveling the entire way!
