FALL RIVER \u2014 Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V, has decreed that Notre Dame Church in Fall River and Holy Cross and Holy Rosary Chapels, both also in Fall River, be relegated to profane but not sordid use. These actions were taken in accord with the relevant Canons of the Church’s Code of Canon Law<\/em>. Relegation to profane use is a term used in Church law when a building is converted to secular uses and will no longer be used for Catholic liturgical worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
