Decree Issued on Unification of Attleboro Parishes Author: Diocese of Fall River In the News 2 Dic 2021 Share ATTLEBORO — Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., has issued a decree, effective January 1, 2022, that Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, located at 71 Linden Street in Attleboro, be suppressed; that the territory of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Attleboro becomes part of the territory of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Attleboro; and that Holy Ghost Church in Attleboro, which until now has been the Parish church for St. Vincent de Paul, shall retain its original name of Holy Ghost Church and become a chapel of Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Attleboro. The pastoral and spiritual care of the people of the suppressed parish will be provided by the Priests assigned to Saint John the Evangelist Parish in Attleboro. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE DECREE.
