Press Releases and Statements 21 Mar 2023 Share FALL RIVER – Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., D.D., has decreed that, effective April 3, 2023, the Parishes of Saint Anthony in Mattapoisett and Saint Rita in Marion be suppressed and the new Saint Anthony-Saint Rita Parish be erected with the two worship sites of the suppressed parishes. The pastoral and spiritual care of the people of the two suppressed parishes will be provided by the priests assigned to the newly-formed Saint Anthony-Saint Rita Parish.
