Our Mission
To provide long-term support to the parishes, ministries, and services within the Diocese of Fall River, creating a culture of charity that highlights the enormous good that the Catholic Church does throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and The Islands while ensuring proper oversight and distribution of funds.
About Us

Established in 2018 as a separate 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Catholic Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts (CFSMA) is an independent charitable foundation responsible for raising, managing, and distributing philanthropic funds to provide long-term, sustainable support for the parishes, schools, and social service ministries across the Diocese of Fall River.

The CFSMA allows us to be intentional and focused on our approach to fundraising for our parishes, schools, social services, and other ministries, while emphasizing the importance of future sustainability through the creation of endowments and planned gifts. It is not simply about raising money for current projects or operations, but raising money that will secure a positive and fruitful future for our Diocese.

Currently, our fundraising efforts center on:

  • Diocese of Fall River's annual Catholic Appeal
  • Foundation to Advance Catholic Education (FACE)
  • Supporting Parish Grand Annual and Capital Campaigns
  • Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River
  • Diocese of Fall River School System

Christ entrusted us with a mission to care for all those in need and to bring others closer to Him. The CFSMA works to provide the current and future funding necessary to continue carrying out that mission here in the Diocese of Fall River.
