All are invited to Saint Anne Shrine to observe the feast day of its patronal namesake. There will be opportunities for the Sacrament of Confession between 1:00-3:00 p.m., Devotions at 3:00 p.m., and recitation of the Rosary at 5:00 p.m.
A Solemn Feast Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Father Jewel Aytona of the Congregation of Priests of Mercy will be the homilist, and an outdoor pilgrims’ procession will follow the Mass.
Leading up to this celebration was a Novena to Saint Anne; it began on July 17th and had as its theme, “Bearer of the Covenant: St. Anne and the Eucharist.”
This year marks the 152nd year of devotional tradition to “Good Saint Anne” in Fall River.
