The St. Anne’s Preservation Society invites everyone to take part in this procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi. The procession will begin at an outside altar in front of St. Anne’s Shrine and then proceed around the church, for approximately two blocks in distance. It will return to the front of the Shrine and conclude there with Benediction.
Father Edward A. Murphy, who is chaplain to the St. Anne’s Shrine Preservation Society, says, “The Church asks us one day in the year on the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring Jesus out to our streets in honor of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. I want all to know they are very welcome to join us in this beautiful occasion.”
