Diocesan Director of Adult and Child Discipleship Deacon Christopher Paul will present this four-part Lenten Mission jointly sponsored by the parishes in the Fall River Deanery, March 11-14. Each session will be offered in the context of Mass twice daily, at noon and 7 p.m. The noontime Mission will be at St. Mary’s Cathedral; the evening sessions will rotate among four parish churches. Within an overall theme of “The Empty Jar: How Can I Be Filled?,” the session topics and evening locations are as follows:

  • Monday, March 11: The Narrow Gate
    Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River
  • Tuesday, March 12: Singular Vessel of Devotion
    St. John of God Church, 1036 Brayton Ave., Somerset
  • Wednesday, March 13: Fountain of Mercy
    Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River
  • Thursday, March 14: Love Outpoured
    St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River

Adoration and Confessions will precede each evening session, beginning at 6 p.m.

Deacon Paul has served in parish ministry and Catholic education in New Hampshire for more than 20 years. Ordained a permanent deacon in 2014, he began his current ministry within the Fall River Diocesan Secretariat for the New Evangelization in August 2021. Planners of this mission described Deacon Chris as “always excited to share his passion for the Gospel and his conviction that all the faithful are called to the summit of holiness.”
