Saint Anne Shrine of Fall River is hosting its 152nd Solemn Novena and Feast of Saint Anne, beginning this day. During the first nine days (July 17-25), Mass is celebrated daily at 6:30 p.m. A Holy Hour will follow each Mass during which the Novena to St. Anne is prayed, and the day’s preacher gives a reflection. Confession is available at 6 p.m.
Friday, July 26th, the Feast of St. Anne, features opportunities for the Sacrament of Confession between 1:00-3:00 p.m., Devotions at 3:00 p.m., the recitation of the Rosary at 5:00 p.m., and the Solemn Feast Mass at 6:00 p.m., followed by the pilgrims’ procession.
The theme of this year’s novena is “Bearer of the Covenant: St. Anne and the Eucharist.” The preachers of the Novena are Deacon Americo Miranda (July 17 -19) and Fr. Jewel Aytona, CPM (July 20-26).
