In celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday and continuing the National Eucharistic Revival (2022-2025), a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will be held May 24-July 5 and will include stops in 18 dioceses, including the Diocese of Fall River from June 29-30. The theme of the pilgrimage is “One Nation Under God.”

The route, which has been dedicated to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first U.S. citizen to be canonized, starts in St. Augustine, Florida, site of the first Mass to be celebrated on American soil, and concludes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its course will bring it through most of the original 13 colonies. The pilgrimage begins Memorial Day weekend and ends Fourth of July weekend and will coincide with the U.S. Bishops’ consecration of our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June as part of its 250th birthday observance.

Opportunities to take part in the pilgrimage as it travels through out Diocese include Masses, Eucharistic processions, and Adoration in Easton, New Bedford, and Fall River. Please plan to participate as we pray for our Church, diocese and country. The schedule of events in the Diocese can be found below.

Monday, June 29, 2026

Holy Cross Center, 518 Washington St. North Easton, MA 02356

Join us for a Mass celebrated by Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., Bishop of Fall River, as the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is welcomed to the Diocese of Fall River. Upon arrival, stay to the left to head to the Holy Cross Center (red brick building) and St. Joseph Chapel. Parking is available to the left of Holy Cross Center, as well as behind the Fr. Peyton Center, located to the far right of Holy Cross Center.

Following the opening Pilgrimage Mass, join us for a public Eucharistic Procession in the Town of Easton, which will process from Holy Cross Center to Immaculate Conception Parish. The procession will conclude with Benediction in the Parish. A shuttle will be available after the conclusion to bring individuals back to Holy Cross Center.

Join us for a public Eucharistic Procession in the City of New Bedford. The procession will begin at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish – the oldest Cape Verdean Parish in the country – stop at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, concluding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. The procession will be followed by an Evening of Eucharistic Encounter at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Limited parking lot is available both at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. A shuttle will be available between these two parishes beginning at 5:30 PM before the procession, as well as after the conclusion of the Eucharistic Encounter evening at 9 PM.

Following the New Bedford Eucharistic Procession, join us for an evening of Eucharistic Encounter at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Whether you ardently love our Lord, or are still seeking Him, this evening will allow you to encounter the Eucharistic Lord in an inspiring way. Featuring Eucharistic Adoration, inspiring talks, prayerful worship and music, and the opportunity for Confession, celebrate the Lord’s present with us as He journey’s through our country. Parking lot available at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

Join us for daily Mass at the Church of the Holy Name as the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage enters the City of Fall River. Street parking only around the parish, so please plan accordingly.

Join us for a public Eucharistic Procession in the City of Fall River. The procession will begin at the Church of the Holy Name, stop at Santo Christo Parish, concluding at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption with Adoration and Benediction. There is only street parking available at the Church of the Holy Name. Parking lots are available across from the Cathedral, at nearby Santo Christo Parish and a munincipal parking lot on Columbia Street. Street parking as available. A shuttle will be available between the Cathedral and the Church of the Holy Name from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and following the Noon Mass. The portions of this event that take place at the Cathedral will be livestreamed at https://olfallriver.com/watch.

Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 327 Second St. Fall River, MA 02721

Join us for the concluding Mass of the National Pilgrimage within the Diocese of Fall River celebrated by Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., Bishop of Fall River. The 12 Noon Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption. Light hospitality will be offered after Mass behind the Cathedral (weather permitting). Parking lots are available across from the Cathedral, at nearby Santo Christo Parish and a municipal parking lot on Columbia Street. Street parking as available.
