Forty-five teenagers from parishes across the Diocese of Fall River received the Pope Saint Pius X Youth Award in the context of a prayer service on Monday evening, May 6, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fall River. Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., presented the awards, which annually recognize teens who serve their parish community with selflessness, commitment, and dedication. Recipients are nominated for the honor by their pastor. The award itself is a medal bearing the image of Pope St. Pius X, the pontiff who created the Diocese of Fall River in 1904, along with his motto, “Restore all things in Christ.” Congratulations to this year’s recipients and thank you for your service!
