Fall River Deanery Lenten Mission (Evening Session)
"Living Mercy" is the theme of Lenten Mission to be offered over four consecutive evenings at rotating churches in the Fall River Deanery. Father Thomas Washburn, a Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate Conception Province, will preach the Mission. A New Bedford native ordained to the priesthood in 2000, Father Washburn is currently the Executive Secretary of the English-Speaking Conference of Franciscan Provincial Ministers. Fall River Deanery Lenten Mission
Dominican Father James P. Quigley will preach this year's Fall River Deanery Lenten Mission on a theme of "Living a Virtuous Life." All are invited to attend. Fall River Area Lenten Mission
The annual Fall River Area Lenten Mission will take place at 7 p.m. from February 26 to March 1, with locations rotating among different parishes within the Fall River Deanery. The Most Reverend Robert C. Evans, Auxiliary Bishop of Providence, will lead the Mission, preaching on its theme of "The Temptations of Christ in 2018."
