Bishop to Lead Online Rosary, Invites Prayer Requests Author: The Most Reverend Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., D.D. In the News 20 Mar 2020 Share FALL RIVER — Extending an invitation to all who able to pray with him, Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.V.D., will lead an online recitation of the Rosary on Sunday, March 22, at 4 p.m. It will be live streamed on the Fall River Diocesan Facebook page at www.facebook.com/fallriverdiocese. “We will pray together for the health of our people and for everyone’s special intentions,” explained the bishop. This virtual Rosary is one way in which Bishop da Cunha hopes the faithful will “take comfort in being part of a larger Church-family to support us in our worries and help carry us through with the strength of our faith.” In another effort to stay closely connected to Catholics in the Diocese during this unsettling time, Bishop da Cunha has extended an invitation to all to submit to him their special prayer requests. “February 26th was Ash Wednesday and so much has changed since Lent began,” Bishop da Cunha said. “We are being asked to adapt to life-changes on a daily basis. “As we enter into this ‘second-half’ of the Lenten season, I invite you to submit any special prayer intention you may have. I will personally read each special intention and bring it before the Lord each and every day.” A page has been set up on the Diocesan website to submit one’s special prayer intention(s).
